Designed by the architect Theodor Höijer Atheneum building was completed in 1887 with the construction and the Finnish Art Society and the Finnish Association handed arts and crafts to use . The meaning was to maintain art collections. The facade is provided with text Concordia res parvae crescunt ( grow in harmony small things ) .
CE Sjöstrand was given the task to decorate the facade of the Atheneum . At the end of the facade crown the three masters of the art - Bramante , Feidias Jund Rafael.
For your Support the four figures were attached . They mean : until the end of caryatid , female characters who have their hands in the field of art in four different symbols: sculpture, painting, drawing, and architecture .
Above the main entrance of the busts , there are three great masters of art history : Bramante , Raphael and Feidias .
The rest of the decoration of the building falls back to the sculptor Ville Vallgren and on the jewelry sculptor Magnus von Wright. CE Sjöstrand was a Swedish sculptor, who was early inspired by the Kalevala and Fredrik Cygnaeus and was invited to that monument of Henrik Gabriel Porthan to create . Then Sjöstrand seemed a long time in Finland as an artist and as a teacher of sculpture. He was respected in Finland as the founder of the sculpture.
Das vom Architekten Theodor Höijer entworfene Atheneum Gebäude wurde 1887 mit dem Bau abgeschlossen und der finnischen Kunstgesellschaft und dem finnischen Verband Kunst-und Kunsthandwerk zur Nutzung übergeben. Die Bedeutung lag darin Kunst-Sammlungen zu pflegen. Die Fassade ist mit Text Concordia res parvae crescunt ( In Harmonie kleinen Dinge wachsen ) versehen.
CE Sjöstrand erhielt die Aufgabe, die Fassade des Atheneums zu verzieren. Am Ende der Fassade krönen die drei Meister der Kunst - Bramante, Feidias jund Rafael.
Zu Ihrer Unterstützen wurden die vier Figuren angebracht. Sie bedeuten: bis Ende Karyatide , weibliche Charaktere, die ihre Hände auf dem Gebiet der Kunst haben in vier verschiedenen Symbolen : Skulptur , Malerei, Zeichnung und Architektur.
Über dem Haupteingang des Brustbilder , gibt es drei großen Meister der Kunstgeschichte : Bramante , Raffael und Feidias .
Der Rest der Dekoration des Gebäudes fällt auf den Bildhauer Ville Vallgren und auf den Schmuckbildhauer Magnus von Wright zurück. CE Sjöstrand war ein schwedischer Bildhauer, der schon früh von der Kalevala und Fredrik Cygnaeus inspiriert wurde und eingeladen wurde, dass Denkmal von Henrik Gabriel Porthan zu erschaffen. Danach schien Sjöstrand eine lange Zeit in Finnland als Künstler und als Lehrer für Bildhauerei. Er wurde in Finnland als Gründer der Skulptur geachtet und respektiert.
