Metsäkauris-veistoksen lahjoitti Helsingin kaupungille johtaja Mikko Penttinen vuonna 1957. Pronssinen veistos on siro realistinen kuva valppaana seisovasta kauriista. Veistoksen korkeus on 115 cm ja jalusta on graniittia.
